Abstract

Pendahuluan: Penderita Hipertensi (HTN) yang tidak patuh minum obat menyebabkan HTN tidak terkontrol yang berdampak pada komplikasi bahkan kematian. Motivasi dibutuhkan penderita sebagai pendorong untuk patuh pada regimen HTN yang kompleks.

Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengoreksi ulang apakah terdapat hubungan antara motivasi dan kepatuhan.

Metode: Sebanyak 220 penderita HTN dilabatkan untuk menjawab tujuan tersebut. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan kuisioner motivasi kepatuhan dan MMAS-8 versi Bahasa Indonesia, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square.

Hasil: Mayoritas motivasi penderita memiliki motivi tinggi sebanyak 39%/87 penderita. Mayoritas tingkat kepatuhan penderita adalah tidak patuh sebanyak 40%/89 penderita. Ditemukan hubungan antar variabel yang diteliti yakni motivasi dan kepatuhan minum obat. Motivasi merupakan bagian integral dari mempertahankan kepatuhan minum obat pada penderita HTN.

Kesimpulan: Motivasi yang tinggi akan menampilkan kepatuhan minum obat yang tinggi pula. Melalui hasil ini harapannya paya khusus dari petugas kesehatan diperlukan untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan motivasi penderita.
