About the Journal

The Journal of Innovation in Community Empowerment for Health (JICOMHEALTH) is a nationally recognized, open access, multidisciplinary, and peer-reviewed academic journal that aims to disseminate research articles and reviews on educative, promotive, preventive, and community empowerment activities in the health sector.

It is published bi-annually (April & October) with a focus on topics related to community empowerment, service, and community health services, including medicine, nursing, and community health (such as health care, social medicine, epidemiology, nursing, medical anthropology, and occupational medicine), community-based education, community service, and disaster response.

JICOMHEALTH is published by Infermia Publishing and utilizes an online submission and peer review platform that enables authors to track the progress of their manuscript and reduces processing times. To be considered for publication, authors must submit their manuscripts through the JICOMHEALTH platform and create an account. Submissions made through any other means will not be considered. More information on the submission process can be found in the Author Guidelines.
